WHITE ISLAND BEACH, CAMIGUIN

White Beach

Camiguin is one among my dream Island destination out of the 7,107 Islands we have here in the Philippines. I've already read many good published blogs about the Island. And now, it's my turn to make one.

Ready to Explore the Island

White Island is a very small island in the sea few kilometers away from the shores of Camiguin. Camiguin Island is also near from my home town BOHOL. So people here also speak bisaya, so nothing to worry as I fluently speak and understand bisaya.

Here you can actually see one of the best views of Mounts Mambajao, Hibok-hibok and Old Volcano.

Strike a pose!!!LOLS

Getting to White Island

We already reserved a boat at night so it will be ready the next morning. It will take  around 10 minutes to reach White Island from the resort. We went there 6:00 in the morning. It will be more better to explore the island early morning until 9:00 A.M as it will be hotter on the afternoon.

Early 6:00 in the morning! Ready to go!!
While on the boat!!

Here's what you can  do:

Play with the white and super fine sand

Of course swimming!!!
Snorkeling!!
Enjoy Sun Bathing

Until you get tan!
Make your moment!!
Don't forget to do some JUMP SHOT!!!

The sand is so white and fine, so you'll love walking barefoot.

Good thing August is not a peak season, I really enjoyed my moment in the Island as we are just few went there that time. So we had our unlimited photo shoot in every angle of the beach.

Smile!!!

And Oooops!!! Don't miss to taste this yummy fresh sea urchin. According to them, it's aphrodisiac. It will help increase your sexual desire. (Wew!!!This sea urchin ROCKS!!)
I picked two!!
That's how they look like "Sea Urchins"
It's absolutely delicious!!! SWEAR!

I really loved and enjoyed the white beach experience. I will definitely go back here and recommend this to my friends.

My sticky and slightly burnt face!!Haha That's how I enjoyed the beach

Few reminders before going to White Island:

1. It's a small island with no trees or any cover so the sun's rays go directly at you, so be sure to bring hat, sunglasses, umbrella, towel or anything you can use to cover u. Of course Sunblock, to protect your skin.
2. Bring sandals or wet shoes, sand is hot and rocks and dead corals are all over the water.

GOING TO CAMIGUIN ISLAND

From Manila, you can take direct flights of Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, or Air Philippines to Cagayan de Oro City. If you are a budget traveler like me, Cebu Pacific is a good choice for promo seats. Flying time approximately takes one hour and 20 minutes. If you will be coming form rom Cebu, Cagayan de Oro City is even nearer -- a mere 30 minutes away. One can also take the longer but infinitely more exciting ferry trips from the North Harbor aboard the ships of WG&A, Negros Navigation, and Sulpicio Lines. Depending on the routes (sometimes they stop over at certain ports such as that of Cebu City, Iloilo City or Bacolod City), a ferry trip to Cagayan de Oro City usually takes 28 to 36 hours.

From the Cagayan de Oro City airport, you can take a cab to the bus terminal located at the Agora Market and get on a bus for Balingoan, a town 88 kilometers outside the city. At Balingoan, take a ferry bound for Camiguin Island approaching Camiguin by sea. The trip usually takes an hour before you reach Benoni Wharf of Mahinog, which is 17 kilometers from the capital town of Mambajao.

You can also take a three-hour ferry ride from the Cagayan de Oro Ferry Terminal to Guinsiliban, also in Camiguin on board M/V Yuhum.
